What if you knew that these 12 days can impact your entire year
This time of year is especially exciting for me. For the next 12 days (March 12th-23rd), each day has a unique meaning and extraordinary energy to affect our lives. It’s this purpose and these opportunities that I have always sought and found through the teachings of Kabbalah.
One of the gifts the wisdom of Kabbalah offers is to become an active participant in designing our lives. By becoming aware of the astrological influences, we can partner with the universe and create the best version of our ourselves and our lives.
A special opportunity comes tonight, Monday evening, the new moon of Aries. Aries is the first astrological sign and acts as the seed level for all the other signs of the zodiac that follow. Each one of the first 12 days of Aries, from sunset to sundown, will impact a whole astrological month. From Monday night to Tuesday night corresponds to the month of Aries. From Tuesday night to Wednesday night corresponds to the month of Taurus. From Wednesday night to Thursday corresponds to the month of Gemini, and so on.
In a month that holds one of the biggest cosmic holidays, Pesach, which means to pass over, we receive the gift to jump over our process of transformation to the end result. Think about it: We can already connected to the end result and rewards while going through our challenges
How do we take full advantage of the first 12 days of Aries to positively impact the next 12 months of our lives?
We can plant positive seeds by consciously choosing our thoughts, actions and feelings with insight into the energy of each astrological month. Each sign has specific energy that influences us proactively and reactively, challenging us, or even blocks us, in achieving fulfillment in our lives.
However, we do not have to be the effect of astrological signs. We can be the designer of our lives. The wisdom of Kabbalah aims to give us more control over our lives through living consciously. In fact, the secret to accessing the blessings of each month is to transform the reactive influence of each sign with our actions, thoughts and feelings, which create our reality.
What can we do each day to transform the energy of each month into blessings?
Be proactive rather than reactive. Easier said then done. Everyday I will post on Facebook 3 simple tools will help us plant positive seeds.
1. Choose Our Actions
Everyday, I will post a guide of actions you can take to transform the reactive nature of the month that corresponds to that specific day.
2. Hebrew Letters
Based on Kabbalistic teaching, the Hebrew letters are vehicles to connect to universal divine energy as meditative tools. The Book of Formation written by Abraham the Patriarch gives us specific two-letter sequences to connect to the positive energy of each month and overcome its reactive nature. And, we can tap into the awesome energy of the Hebrew letters just by looking at them!
3. Meditate on the 72 Names of God
Meditate on a specific sequence of Hebrew letters that helps us draw down the unique proactive energy we need for that day.
Every night, set your intentions with the Hebrew letters and make an action plan for the day to come. At the end of each day, evaluate your how well you carried out your plan and make a better one for the next day.
We Are All in It Together!
For such an amazing spiritual opportunity, the teachers of the Kabbalah Centre of New York City will be injecting consciousness with a daily conference call at 11:00 PM EST each day (except for Fridays) beginning on Monday night, March 11.

Right now, at the start of the month of Pisces, we can connect to two major energies needed to overcome any obstacles that we may face.
Pisces are the most humble people of the zodiac. Inclined to yield to others, they are extremely sensitive, feeling the emotions of events unfolding in front of them. They’re very compassionate and have a true desire to eliminate other people’s suffering, often taking others’ pain upon themselves. This month, we may all find ourselves more feeling more sensitive and compassionate as well.
One of the most important aspects of the tikkun of Pisces is the lack of desire to receive. Satisfied with their lives, their natural tendency is not to fight for their desires when obstacles arise. They are connected to the big picture and know that everything will be ok in the end, so they don’t see a reason to fight for their desires.
However, we need to have desire, not for the self alone but for the sake of sharing. When we find ourselves in pain and craving something more, we need to be willing to put in the effort to get it. Pisces have huge care and a desire to spread Light. Yet, they need to be reminded of the reason we are here: to manifest Light, and without action, no Light can be revealed.
Therefore the first energy we can tap into this month is turning our thoughts into action. We have a huge opportunity during Adar to manifest Light and blessings by actualizing our best ideas to share.
But as soon as we want to do something, what happens? We doubt! We doubt our ability to make things happen, to have good events happen to us, and much more. We doubt that life has a meaning and order.
Kabbalists explain that in our path to connecting to the Light and our best destiny, we will have to face challenges and tests. It’s like a game, and the true sense of winning only comes when we overcome a tough opponent. In the game of life, we have an inner opponent, who manifests in our minds as limiting, reactive thought patterns and beliefs. The opponent’s strongest weapon is doubt.
Luckily, the second energy available to us this month is certainty. When we have total certainty that there is a divine order, and we can cope with challenging situations meant for us to earn blessings and move to our next level, we will have total happiness.
There is no place for doubt and worry with this kind of certainty — only peace of mind.
Certainty is easier said than done, but with daily practice and the 72 Names of God for that energy, we can build it a little more each day.
Also, the energy to overcome doubt and achieve complete certainty will be at its height during the Shabbat of Zachor. Connections and meditations to this energy will be made in all Kabbalah Centers around the world and streamed live on www.ukabbalah.com.
I wish for all of us realized dreams and certainty beyond our wildest imaginations.

What makes you unique? This month we can use the idealistic energy of Aquarius to tap into our each of our divine gifts and share them with others for the global good.
An air sign, Aquarius encompasses the energy of original thinking. Aquarians have the ability to see more than others and think outside the box. They are tuned into the bigger picture and invested influencing others on a global level.
Right now, we are also living in the Age of Aquarius. Yes, even large blocks of years carry the influence of the zodiac signs. During this time, we are experiencing great revelations of technology, science and even spirituality. The secrets of the world, the secrets of life and the secrets of how to connect to the Creator are being revealed. And we need to seize that information and use it to positively affect our lives and the lives of others.
The Age of Aquarius is the time to take personal responsibility in order to create global transformation.
How do we ride this awesome wave of Aquarius? This month is all about going outside of our usual box and breaking boundaries for the purpose of sharing with others. If you have a desire, vision or plan to help other people, now is the time to put it into action. Trust that you have a divine unique gifts and do something to share them.
Not sure where to start? Begin by asking yourself: How can I be apart of global change? Then, put that answer into action! Meditating on the 72 Name of God for Defying Gravity (see right) will also provide us with the extra energy we need to make the most of our divine talents.
We know that the seed always contains the end result. Therefore, for seed of the new moon of Aquarius, please be extra thoughtful of your plans on Friday and Saturday, as they will impact the next 30 of your month.
To quote my teacher and Kabbalist Karen Berg, “We are all small strings, but together we can be a mighty rope that will pull us out of the darkness.”

Behind the tears and overwhelming pain and shock… While feeling deep desire to find out why this happened and who is responsible for such a tragedy… And hearing calls to action to sign petitions, add security guards to our children’s schools and improve mental care…
…I am left with a clear picture: Chaos is looking at me – at all of us - straight in the face and with no shame.
Chaos manifests in a physical way. First, it infiltrates our mind and causes us to look outside of ourselves in search of someone to blame and judge. It points to someone and says, “Be afraid of them,” an unknown enemy separate from ourselves, and convinces us that the ultimate solution is a security guard with weapon in our children’s schools will increase their safety. The only thing more twisted that our kids being threatened at school, is our acceptance of these 1% fixes.
The real question is: What is the source of chaos?
Rather than treating the symptoms of chaos, we must seek deeper seed level solutions for the complete removal of chaos. Many spiritual paths offer answers, guidance and support. Personally, I have found answers in the universal wisdom of Kabbalah.
We all have an inner power of healing and an inner power of destruction. Recognizing these two forces and learning to overcome the negative power is what creates positive energy, known as Light.
As Kabbalists throughout history have taught, we are destined to live in a world of peace, harmony and love. Yet, chaos reigns because we accept it as part of our world. 10 or 20 years ago, hearing about someone with cancer was absolutely shocking. Today, how do you feel when you hear about someone diagnosed with cancer?
Chaos is not shocking anymore. Accepting disease, pain and random acts of violence is accepting chaos, and that is unacceptable – for you, me, our children and all of our fellow human beings!
Each of us has the power to defeat chaos and transform it to Light, and so many of us are already hard at work doing just that. Personal transformation, compassion, unity, living our best lives and taking global responsibility can create the harmonious world we are meant to live in. If we want to change the world, we have to change ourselves.
If you are on a spiritual path, push yourself to the next level. If you aren’t on one, find one because we are all in this world together.
What would you do for another hour in the day and extra cash in your pocket? Get ready for a surge in those physical desires as we enter the month #Capricorn, the most materialistic sign of the Zodiac – and yet, potentially the most spiritual.
Tonight is the 6th night of #Chanukah. It’s also the new moon of Capricorn. The 10th sign of the #Zodiac is ruled by the planet furthest away from the sun, Saturn. Do you know a Capricorn? Maybe not very well at first. They enjoy their own company and take time to warm up to others.
They are also highly invested in the physical. Stable, systematic and overachieving, they make great scientists and business people. And they attribute all of their physical success to their hard work.
Similarly, we will all be influenced this month by this false sense of control and ownership of our accomplishments: Things are going my way. People are taking my advice. My hard work is paying off. And we will need to remember, as Kabbalist Rav Berg simply puts, “The source of all these things is the Light.”
The only thing we really control is our consciousness. We can choose to see the Light in every situation. We can choose to share that which we receive. We can choose to push away doubts and uncertainty. We have to take ownership of our consciousness and protect it.
When we choose to see that everything in our lives comes from the Creator for the purpose of revealing Light, the world will reflect that brilliant reality back to us.
Where there is the most darkness is the most Light, and therefore, beneath the materialism of Capricorn is the DNA of the highest spiritual connection: The 72 Names of God. We have a direct link to this powerful meditative tool through the Hebrew letters that control this month, Ayin and Bet (see below).
We can also focus on the specific sequence from the 72 Names of God for Defying Gravity (see below) to gain the power of mind over matter during Capricorn.
During the next 28 days, we have a choice: We can fall into the typical materialistic mode of Capricorn, or we can rise above to the highest spiritual levels by sharing everything we receive from the Creator. Only when we rise above do we truly gain control over time, money, love and so much more.

CONSCIOUSNESS INTO ACTION: Kabbalistic Insight to the Energy of the Week—
The month of Kislev (#Sagittarius) is the ninth month/sign in the lunar calendar and is ruled by the planet Jupiter, the planetary symbol of abundance, good luck, and good fortune. During the New Moon of Sagittarius, miracles and Light surround us from every direction. It is a time to recognize every day #miracles and to draw in miracles through our thoughts and actions.
When a new month starts, we all gain the characteristics of the month. When an opportunity arises for a Sagittarian, they typically rush in. The more impossible the task, the greater their enthusiasm. They seize every opportunity to perform heroically and are constantly striving to extend their own limits. It is no coincidence then, that the organs of the body that relate to Sagittarians are the hips and legs.
Sagittarians seek pleasure at almost any cost. They want instant gratification, and they get it mostly by facing their fears. Because of this, their goals and actions do not focus on the goal itself, but on the means of deriving maximum pleasure from the undertaking. Though intending no harm, they are preoccupied with proving themselves and can be insensitive to the doubts and fears of those around them.
Sagittarians are uncompromising and extremely critical of their own behavior. To their credit, they always look for the fault in themselves and immediately take full responsibility for their actions and mistakes. Sagittarians never put the blame on others. Furthermore, they do not hold grudges, are not resentful, are quick to forgive, and may even become fixated on their own inadequacies and failures.
What is a situation in your life where you are held by fear, hesitation, and procrastination? The energy of this month gives you the opportunity to use the power of the Sagittarian to create miracles and Light in your life!
The following combination of the 72 Names of God is called “Miracle Making.” Visualizing the letters and reciting the affirmation can help us connect to our true gifts and help us escape our ego-based desire —all the while creating wonderful miracles.
I wish you all a month filled with miracles and Light!

During chaotic times like these following #Hurricane Sandy, sometimes it’s hard to figure out how we can help. Maybe you don’t think you have the resources or time. Maybe you are on the other side of the country or the world. But Anyone Anytime Anywhere can help.
We can use our minds to help heal others with the power of our thoughts. As Kabbalist Rav Berg explains in his book The #Kabbalah Connection:
THE POWER AND STRENGTH OF THE “MIND WAVES” WE USE IN PRAYER AND MEDITATION IS, ACCORDING TO THE ZOHAR, BY FAR THE MOST EFFICIENT AND FLAWLESS SYSTEM OF COMMUNICATION IN THE UNIVERSE. MOREOVER, THESE MIND WAVES ARE NOT LIMITED BY PHYSICAL CONSTRAINS, UNLIKE RADIO OR TELEVISION WAVES THAT ARE WEAKENED BY PHYSICAL OBSTACLES AND ATMOSPHERIC CONDITIONS.
Above is the 72 Names of God for Order from Chaos. Each day, take a few minutes to let the energy of this meditative tool flow through you, and send that energy to places of chaos with the certainty that you are making a difference.
As the Rav Berg says:
THOUGHTS CAN TRANSVERSE GREAT DISTANCES, CAN AFFECT PEOPLE AND OBJECTS AND IS INDEED A TANGIBLE FACTOR IN THE WORLD AROUND US.
THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. SOME ACTIONS CAN BE DONE INTERNALLY AND SILENTLY AS WELL AS EXTERNALLY AND PHYSICALLY. FOR THOSE OF US THAT USUALLY GO OUT AND DO, TRY TURNING INWARD AND TAP INTO THE POWER OF CONSCIOUSNESS. FOR THOSE OF US THAT ARE USUALLY INSIDE OF OUR HEADS, GET OUT AND DO SOMETHING!
I wish all of us wisdom to know that Anyone Anytime Anywherecan make a difference for others.
Thank you, Sarah Yardeni Instructor, The Kabbalah Centre, NYC
A month of bitterness or elevation? The choice is ours.
The start of each new month brings an unseen energy with it that influences us all, from our trigger points to our behavior. However, with insights of this energy from the teachings of Kabbalah, we can not only prepare for it, we can make the most of it.
Monday night began the 8th month of the lunar calendar, referred to in Hebrew as Mar-Cheshvan. Mar means bitter, and this month corresponds to the astrological sign of Scorpio.
A lot can be learned about the energy of the month from its name and planetary influence. The Hebrew letters in the word Mar can be rearranged to create the word ram, which means elevated. Like the letters of its name, this month offers the possibility of two polar extremes: bitterness or elevation. And it’s sure to be a battle, as the month is ruled by the planet Mars, named after the greek god of war.
There also two Hebrew letters that connect us to the spiritual energy of the month: dalet, which created mars and nun, which created the sign of Scorpio. Together these two letters form the Aramaic word for judgment, din.
Consciousness to Catch This Month
1. Make Love Not War: With energies running high this month, we should pay extra attention to choose our words and behaviors carefully. Even the smallest confrontation can turn into a war, making it essential to tap into the energy of mercy instead. We will feel like scorpions - quick to kill if we sense danger. If we don’t watch our reactions, we can strike straight into the heart of those around us and inflict serious damage and pain.
2. Give to Give: Scorpios are extremely independent and have a huge desire to control. With that energy affecting all of us this month, be aware of not using giving as a tool to gain control over your receiver. According to the Book of Formation, every zodiac sign is associated with a particular part of the human body, and the bodily region related to Scorpio is the sexual organs. Scorpios of both genders are often deemed “sexy,” but both can easily become destructive with the misuse of their sexual power.
3. Remain a Casual Observer: Don’t be lured into staring in your own emotional drama. Scorpios love melodramatic stories and enjoy extreme emotions.
4. Don’t Go Green: Last but not least, watch out for the green-eyed monster. Scorpio’s jealousy is legendary; they simply can’t see someone else with something that they want. Having a Scorpio as an enemy can be devastating. Instead, take an appreciative look at your life.
Scorpio is a water sign, and when Scorpios allow the merciful water side of their character to emerge, they can transcend their bitter nature and elevate to higher level of consciousness. This month, we are all capable of ascending.
Yes Please! The Gifts of Scorpio
Scorpios are highly intuitive. They are very honest with themselves and others, and have a deeply spiritual understanding of life. This month we all have the opportunity to use this energy in grasping the full meaning of our soul’s journey and purpose. And as the stars aligned, my teacher and the teachers of millions, Karen Berg will be sharing valuable wisdom for our quest during a nationwide tour for her new book on reincarnation and past lives To Be Continued. To see Karen’s schedule stops, including NYC October 21, visit http://www4.kabbalah.com/tobecontinued/.
In recent news, you may have heard about the 14-year-old Pakistani schoolgirl, Malala Yousafzai, who was shot in the head by the Taliban for advocating for girls’ education. This incident runs parallel to this week’s biblical portion, Noah and its stories of the great the flood and the Tower of Babble – both the result of a negative collective of people creating chaos in the world. Today’s tragic events are also the result of a negative collective, but within the problem lies the solution: Imagine if that unity was used for good. As the Zohar says:
For us, and for all those who occupy themselves with the spiritual work and are of one heart and one desire…Nothing that we want to do will be withheld from us.
- The Zohar, Noah 44:386
Too many good people are doing nothing. This month, let’s do good together. As one united force we can change the world. Let’s start with sending Malala healing energy as she recovers in Great Britain.
Thank you, Sarah Yardeni
The astrological information here is based on Kabbalistic astrology by Kabbalaist Rav Berg.
We are entering a period of 40 days that will act as the seed level of our next year: 30 days of the month of Virgo, known as Elul in Hebrew, and the first 10 days of the month of Libra, including Rosh Hashana (September 16-18) and Yom Kippur (September 25-26). During the month of Virgo, we are gifted with the opportunity to go back in time to areas where we created short circuits and negativity and re-establish our connection to the Light in order to draw blessings and fulfillment in the year to come!
The astrological sign of Virgo is represented by the Virgin – a metaphor for the time before anything was defiled or corrupted. Plugging into the energy of the month of Virgo allows us to connect to our perfect selves. In other words, it is the easiest time for us to change ourselves.
Internal change requires a good look within - a process that we can do in just 4 STEPS:
Viduy – Confession: Spiritually, not religiously. Go back, get in touch, remember and identify where and how in the past year we were reactive.
Charata – Regret: Compassion and empathy, not guilt. Feel the pain of the negativity we created as a result of being reactive. Most of all, feeling the pain that we have caused others.
Chazara – Do over: Go back in your mind and live the situation again - this time with action in a soulful, proactive and sharing way.
Kabala Le Adit – Commitment for the future: Make an internal oath and decision that you will approach similar situations in a new proactive manner.
It’s not enough to just undo the past. To help us in our commitment to change now, we need to uncover the seed level of our negativity. To identify the root cause of our sabotaging behavior, take a look at the list below.
There are 4 major categories of reactivity, corresponding to the 4 elements. Each person has a combination of reactivity from all elements.
Fire: Anger, Pride, Control, Judgment and Hatred
Earth: Physical Laziness (leads to Spiritual Laziness), Sadness and Depression
Water: Desire for Physical Pleasures, Jealousy and Coventry
Air: Misuse of the Power of Speech - Gossip, Evil Tongue, Flattery, Lies, Not Communicating/Shutting down
“Taking responsibility for our chaos results in its removal.” - Kabbalist Rav Berg
Going through this process of repentance creates new and exciting opportunities for us! To support us in this process, we can meditate on the 72 Names of God for Time Travel (see right) throughout our day, from quiet times before and after bed, to right in the middle of a challenging situation. Simply look at or imagine the letters and read the affirmation to yourself.
Also, there is a daily conference call during the month Virgo at 11pm beginning Saturday evening August 18. Dial in every night for a few words of consciousness to help you make the most of this important time.
We have just entered the new astrological month of Leo, which marks the two-month countdown to Rosh Hashana, the new year on the lunar calendar! And the secrets of this month can prepare us for such an important and valuable occasion.
Secrets of Leo: Now Hear This! As we know, every month brings a special energy with it. Becoming aware of this energy can advance our spiritual journey and empower us to surmount challenges ahead. In the Book of Formation, written by Abraham the Patriarch, a secret is revealed: The month of Leo (Av in Aramaic) connects us to the power of hearing. What does it mean?
Most of us are born with the ability to hear on the physical level. However, Kabbalists continually remind us that there is a higher reality influencing us beyond the world we experience in our daily lives. Likewise, there is a more elevated level of listening called “spiritual hearing.”
Often, we wish we had the answers to our questions about life, that we could be told what to do and some higher power higher would show us the way. Kabbalists explain that everyday voices of guidance from the Creator surround us – voices constantly directing us towards our best destinies and paths.
Most of us have difficulty hearing these messages from the Creator because we have damaged our “spiritual ears” by listening to negative speech – gossip, judgment, hatred, etc. These messages can only be heard by those truly connected to the Light.
Abraham the Patriarch also reveals the Aramaic letters that are channels for the powerful energies of this month. He writes: The Creator took the letter Tet, and through the power of the letter Tet, he created the sign of Leo in the month of Av. That means that all the Light, blessing and fulfillment we hope to draw this month will come to us through the letter Tet. The letter Kaf created the sun, which controls the month of Leo. Together, we can use the letterset of Tet and Kaf (see above) as a meditative tool this month to enhance the power of our spiritual hearing.
Ask for Guidance
Even Leos Have Tikkun! Leo is the only sign to receive its energy directly from the sun. Like the sun, Leos believe the whole world revolves around them. Confident of their power and abilities, they broadcast their self-assurance to the whole world and are hard to ignore. They demand respect, and if treated otherwise, they either retaliate or dismiss the insignificant offender as if they are shooting a fly away.
Leos’ weak point is the heart, making them prone to cardiovascular disease. Kabbalistically, their role is similar to that of the heart’s: Both have the responsibility of pumping out and distributing all the energy that they receive.
Natural leaders, leos tend to rely on themselves and seldom ask for help. They are always looking for a kingdom to rule. They handle stress well and are goal-oriented and generous. They are, however, susceptible to flattery and can be bought!
Leos or not, this month’s energy affects us all. To elevate the energy of Leo, we all can focus on being humble, asking for help and guidance, and avoiding the pursuit of public honor and respect in favor of giving anonymously.
As Kabbalist Rav Berg further explains in the book Kabbalistic Astrology, “Leos must come to understand that they are neither the center of the universe nor even the kings of the savanna. Leos have been blessed with great power in order to be guides on the path to enlightenment.”
Leo’s Days of Power The death anniversary of the great Kabbalist Rabbi Isaac Luria is on the 5th of Av, which falls this year from sunset Monday, July 23rd to sunset Tuesday, the 24th. The death anniversary of a righteous soul is a day when his/her energy is most accessible to us. Known as the Ari, which means lion, Rabbi Luria revealed many secrets about the essence of life, reincarnation and divine inspiration. Though he lived short life, he fulfilled his purpose and his contribution to humanity is everlasting. On his death anniversary, we can study from his writings and ask for his guidance in connecting to our purpose and gaining deep insights into our lives.
Tisha B’Av, the 9th of Av is the most negative – and potentially positive - day of the year. It all depends on our actions. The destruction of both the First and Second Temples in Jerusalem occurred on this day in history. From sunset Saturday, July 28th to sunset Sunday, July 29th, we can focus on removing the root cause for such destruction: hatred for no reason. Through fasting and reading the scroll of “Eicha,” we will meditate to purify our hearts and the world from hatred and draw the energy of unconditional love.
Tu b’Av: The Love Connection. August 2 - 3, 2012 On the fifteenth day of the Hebrew month of Av (the astrological sign of Leo), the energy of soul mates and love permeates the cosmos. Making a connection to this day helps us to attract our true soul mate, or strengthen our existing relationship. All forms of love—for soul mates, friends, parents, children, siblings and everyone else—are fortified on this powerful day. Rav Yehuda Brandwein, the renowned kabbalist who taught Rav Berg, said that on this day both the sun and moon are equal in Light and shine together. From the perspective of the spiritual cosmos, this is the only time when both heavenly bodies are in a ruling position, sharing their power and influence. Here we have the perfect expression of a genuine soul mate connection, and a direct reflection of the meaning of true love. Join us for a powerful download of energy that can help all your relationships to shine as brightly as the sun.
I wish all of you the power of Leo to transform your lives for the purpose of sharing and unconditional love.
